This fall’s installment of 40 Days for Life, the national movement begun in 2004 as a grassroots campaign to end abortion through prayer, fasting, and peaceful witness, came to an end on Sunday.   It’s impossible to know how many lives were saved and how many futures were changed through the prayers across the country.  But we know of at least one conversion– the director of Planned Parenthood in Bryan, TX, the place where 40 Days for Life began five years ago, has quit her job.
Abby Johnson, former director of a Planned Parenthood center, left the organization after watching a baby being aborted, and is now working with those who prayed for her conversion. Johnson, 29, worked for Planned Parenthood for eight years until she watched, by an ultrasound transmission, a fetus ‘crumple’ as it was vacuumed from its mother last September.”
